When using old cars whose radios were never programmed, or when moving such cars to a new city
Old analogue car radios would have buttons when, when pressed, would select a pre-programmed channel. Unknown to many is that the buttons could also be pulled out, and then pushed back in. This would store the currently tuned channel in the radio.
